The BNG Landcare Network includes 18 Landcare and community groups across the Buloke and Northern Grampians Shires, working within the North Central Catchment Management Authority region.
We recognise that our work takes place on Dja Dja Wurrung and Barengi Gadjin Country. We acknowledge and extend our appreciation to the Traditional Custodians for their care of this land, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. We honour their culture, knowledge and ongoing connection to Country, and we hope to continue working together with respect and healing.
Our purpose is to:
- support community‑led Landcare
- help build strong and sustainable rural communities
- restore healthy, diverse and productive environments
Although our main members are Landcare groups, we also work with many other organisations and individuals to promote:
- good land, water and resource management
- sustainable and profitable farming
- conservation and environmental stewardship
- community health and wellbeing
Our Vision is to be independent, well‑connected and well‑supported groups working together as a community of practice, actively improving the condition of our natural resources.
Our mission is to make sure all member groups have fair access to support, information and resources so they can strengthen their communities and contribute to positive environmental change.
